I’m Sridevi Balan, an Indian native living in Ireland , working mom with two children living with family in County Cavan. A multifaceted individual with a diverse range of roles and responsibilities across various organizations. Here is a glimpse of my impactful journey:

Founder and Chairperson: I’m very gratified to say that myself as a visionary founder and chairperson of non-profit social inclusion community group, The Culture Wheel (TCW) from 2020, a platform dedicated to promoting cultural awareness and appreciation that bases itself in inclusion and emphasis “All for one and one for All “.

Secretary of ICAC: In addition to my leadership at TCW, I also serve as the Secretary of sister concern, the Indian Cultural Arts Club (ICAC) from 2017, furthering my commitment to nurturing cultural exchange and artistic expression by promoting diversity, uniqueness of various arts of Indian cultural heritage.

Secretariate of CPPN: As dedicated volunteer, I’m serving as a secretariate key member of the Cavan Public Participation Network (CPPN) from 2020, representing the Bailieborough/Cootehill Municipal District. As a secretariate of Cavan PPN , collective voice for all community and voluntary, environmental and social inclusion organisations in Cavan and secretariate purpose is to improve people’s well-being by involving the community in local decision-making.

Board Director at Peace Plus Partnership: My volunteer contributions extend to the Peace Plus Partnership at Cavan County Council, where I serve as one of a Board Director from 2021 Where my involvement highlights commitment to fostering peacebuilding initiatives and collaborative efforts within the community.

Board Trustee at Longford Women’s Link (LWL) : Member of Board Match ,Future Board leadership Academy, Dublin volunteering as a board member of Longford Women's Link (LWL) from 2023 and till date.

Cultural Champion: I’m recognized as a cultural champion by the Cavan County Local Development (CCLD) and has played a pivotal role in promoting cultural diversity and community-led development initiatives.

IT Professional: With over 21 years of experience in information technology currently holding the position of Software Release Coordinator in a leading insurance sector. My career trajectory reflects the dedication to excellence and innovation in the tech industry.

I would say my remarkable journey is characterized by a deep-rooted passion for cultural enrichment, community empowerment, and professional excellence. My commitment to making a positive impact in both the cultural and technological spheres shines through various roles and endeavours.
